9/26/20 Fall is here!

Well, it's officially Autumn now & one of my favorite times of the year! The last few days have been rough though with a flare of neck issues as well as POTS. This fall weather is great, but these sudden seasonal changes are rough on the body. The barometric pressure definitely affects how we feel. I believe over the next few days that I'll try to get out the fall decorations & see if the kids would like to help decorate the home. I'm looking forward to beautiful Autumn colors. I'm still working with the foster pups Kylie & Sasha on leash training, sit, lay down, wait, & leave it, but walking back in forth in front of our home to work on the leash training has been extra difficult. I've been having to cut sessions shorter & go in & lay down for a while to recover afterwards. It's worth it though, I love working with animals. I believe the rescue will be taking them in soon so enjoying the time spent with them while we can. Kylie is more easily distracted, but doing great on leave it, sit, lay down, & getting the hang of "stay". Sasha is the more energetic of the two & has much higher food drive. She will do anything for a treat. She is really catching on well to walking at a heel & staying focused on the handler. They are both still extremely timid & scared of strangers, however it's getting much easier to bring Sasha's attention back to me & off of the perceived stranger danger. She's doing well with sit, & lay down, but getting her to accept that the words "leave it" can be used in connection with food is not currently within her understanding. She is ALL about the food.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for stopping by. It's my hope that our story will spread very needed awareness about EDS, POTS, & MCAS, along with encouraging others to continue pushing forward. I also hope to spread awareness about service dogs as so many that are in need have no idea where to go, or how to start. Also, so many people don't understand how to act around a service dog causing distraction & possible injury to the handler.

Let the posts
come to you.
